The Cacapon River (about 20 minutes west of Winchester, VA) was bursting at the banks from spring rainfall. I'd never floated it with the water so high. We went 12 miles in about 3 hours! Great day on the water and very little effort needed with the paddles. If you've never floated this river before its a very scenic and isolated float that is always a good time. We put in at the bridge in Cacapon Bridge and floated to the boat ramp at the Route 127 bridge. Normally that would be an all day ordeal, but with the fast moving level we floated at, it went by in no time. Check out the video to see what its like.
